With that final smoky breath you're whispering a defiant "thanks and goodbye" to all the beliefs and coping mechanisms that don't serve you anymore - well even hurt you now.

With "LAST CIGARETTE", her deput EP, Sara Di Caro cracks herself open and drags you into a space where reflection and release collide. A soundtrack for dancing with your own demons - somewhere between haze and clarity, comfort and chaos, adiction and awakening, protest and transformation.
Multilingual and inspired by the powerhouse pop and soul voices of the '90s, mixed with the darker, twisted edges of Portisthead or The Cure, Sara teams up with Bernese producer Melvyn Buss (Sirens of Lesbos) to craft a sound that's light and heavy all at once - the kind that sticks in your head for days, like cold smoke lingering in your jacket after a long night out at the Reitschule.
Live, it all unfolds as an intimate, no-bullshit duo with jazz guitarist Anatole Buccella (Trois Imaginaires). Sara blends vocals, synth-bass, a sprinkle of percussion and well-placed vocal effects - sometimes soft, sometimes loud, somethimes straight-up nasty like a cigarette burn in your favourite sock.
Die letzte Zigarette auszumachen, bedeutet viel mehr als nur mit einer blöden Gewohnheit zu brechen. Es ist wie ein Hautabstreifen: das Alte abwerfen und „Hallo“ sagen zu Wachstum, Lernen und Verlernen.

die dir längst nichts mehr bringen – ja mittlerweile sogar schaden.

Mit ihrer Debüt-EP «Last Cigarette» lässt sie tief einblicken und lädt ein zum selbstreflektierten Abtanzen – irgendwo in den Rauchschwaden zwischen Trost und Akzeptanz und dem aufregend-gruseligen Abtauchen in eine Gefühlswelt, die Geschichten erzählt über Sucht, Erkenntnisse, Selbsthilfe, Protest und Veränderung.
Multilingual und inspiriert von den grossen Pop- und Soul Stimmen der 90er, sowie den «edgyeren» Sounds von Portishead und
the Cure, mixt Sara Di Caro mit dem Berner Produzenten Melvyn Buss (Sirens of Lesbos) Leichtigkeit mit Schwere, und schafft mit unerwarteten Kontrasten ihren ganz eigenen Sound, der noch Tage danach im Kopf hängen bleibt, wie kalter Rauch in deiner Jacke nach einer durchtanzten Nacht in der Cafete.
